The Student Right to Know Act
The Student Right to Know Act (SRTK), also known as the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act, requires institutions eligible for Title IV funding to calculate and disclose completion or graduation rates of certificate- or degree-seeking, first-time, full-time undergraduate students within 150% of normal time (6 years for a 4-year program). These rates must be disaggregated by gender, major racial/ethnic subgroups, Pell Grant recipients, subsidized loan recipients, and students receiving neither.
Institutions with athletic programs providing athletically-related student aid must also disclose graduation rates of student-athletes by race/ethnicity, gender, and sport, including a four-year average.
