Transfer credit from accredited colleges or universities will be considered for curriculum-related coursework with grades of C or better. An official transcript is required. You may also be asked to provide college catalogs, course descriptions, or course syllabi to aid in the university’s decision on whether to grant credit. As a transfer student, please work with your admissions representative to review how your previous credits may be used at Indiana Tech.
As a guide, Indiana Tech allows the following maximum amounts of credits to transfer. Again, you will need to work with your admissions representative to review how your previous credits may be used at Indiana Tech.:
- 90 for a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited school
- 60 for a bachelor’s degree from a non-regionally accredited school
- 45 for an Associate degree from a regionally accredited school
- 30 for an associate degree from a non-regionally accredited school
- 9 for a master’s degree
Indiana Tech does have transfer agreements with a variety of schools for our adult and online program. Please refer to the College of Professional Studies transfer page, or ask your admissions representative for further information.
Pre-approval for transfer credit
Students who are planning on taking courses from another institution and want to see how courses will transfer to Indiana Tech need to complete a Pre-Approval for Transfer Credit form.
